Luca’s POV

Only an inch separated our mouths, but the cool air that replaced her warm lips had me going back
for more. Wanting to feel them again, the second time I pressed harder. She parted just enough to
convey she also wanted more.
My conscience nagged, forcing me to again break the connection and end the temptation. Her
breath hitched when I added more distance, as if I removed her source of oxygen.

The final instalment? Scoring Mr Romeo is the latest book written by A.M. Madden and Joanne Schwehm the books written as stand alone follow lives of 3 Batchelor friends as they find love. Scoring Mr Romeo is Luca’s story the sexy Italian who was the ‘sensible’ friend in the previous books. With his smouldering good looks and sexy accent Luca is the dark horse of the 3 friends, his stoic exterior hiding the fun character we only see glimpses of in the previous books.

I wondered who would be the lady to bring him to his knees! In Taming Mr Flirt and Finding Mr Wrong there seemed to be a real connection between Cassie and Luca but it wasn’t to be. The writers brought in 2 new characters Sabrina a sexy single mom and the cutest little kid Mikey to tame Luca’s heart. Sabrina and Luca’s attraction is of the charts and things move quickly between them.

Although I enjoyed Scoring Mr Romeo I didn’t enjoy it as much as the 2 previous books the authors co-wrote. The books are insta love and well written but for me with Sabrina being a single mom the insta love seemed to move a little too quickly with Luca, Sabrina and Mikey spending time together as a couple and kid awfully soon. There seemed to be no hesitation on Sabrina’s part to keep Mikey and Luca separate for a little while, but then this insta relationship between our 3 main characters worked for the plot. Overall enjoyable and as always I will look for more books by the authors 4 stars.

Love paranormal? love Christmas? Love a short story? Then this Jessie Lane and Chastity Bowlin novella is the perfect read for you. Telling the story of 2 shifters finding love at Christmas Purrfect Santa was a fab short to read! With a good mix between plot and characters the authors found the perfect balance for this novella, that left me wanting more.

I love a paranormal read, but I struggle to find ones that tick all my plot boxes especially with a shorter length novel. Too many seem to be sexy but without the characters and story line to back it up. Thankfully this was not the case with Purrfect Santa, set over only a few days this short had a back story, characters that I alternated with wanting to hug and say it will get better to screeching at just give it a go! A quick read that is the Purrfect introduction to 2 authors and there paranormal ways 4 stars!

You know it’s a good book when upon finishing you download the authors back catalogue, that’s what happened when I finished reading So Over You. I love a good sports romance and Hockey players are a favourite of mine to read. The big burly players that are like poetry on the ice moving around at break neck speeds. The third book in Kate Meader’s Chicago Rebels series following the trials and tribulations of a down on their luck Hockey team and their chase of Stanley, under new management the rebels are finally making head way both in the ranks and in love. So Over You is the story of Vadim the franchises new left winger and the Isobel the new owner of the team, but there’s is a story that started long ago when they were teens.

It’s funny how dreams change, for Isobel her dream was to be one of the first Pro women hockey players, and she fulfilled it for 37minutes. However her dream came crashing down around her leaving her injured and unable to play hockey professionally anymore she needed a new dream. Inheriting the Rebels with her sisters is just part of what it will take to accomplish her new goal Coaching in the Pro’s overcoming the prejudice and leading her team to victory, her first task to overcome her first lust the Russian Hockey god who left her wanting 8 years ago and bring him off the injury list.

Vadim has a secret, one that could hurt his reputation as the Csar of pleasure, he’s hung up on the women that almost wrecked his career 8 years ago, and now she has to help him get game ready. The close proximity, the early morning training its reigniting the spark he had almost extinguished. I loved this second chance romance, Vadim and Isobel’s story melted my heart and I needed to read more, that’s why So Over You is a five star read for me. I loved the back story of the 3 sisters overcoming their fathers death and the shadows he caused in their lives, their confidences and I can’t wait for the final sisters story.

“What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours?” he asks and presses his nose to mine briefly causing my breath to hitch before he pulls away.

“Your suit reminds me that you are the governor,” I say and I know it sounds weird, but somehow in my head on the last few dates, I tried to convince myself that he was just a regular guy.

He chuckles, and again I wish I knew the sound of his laughter. “I’m still the same guy whether I’m in a suit and tie or a pair of jeans,” he replies. I want to tell him that he looks hot as sin in his suit but something tells me that his ego is inflated enough.

“Isn’t the governor’s mansion in Springfield? Why are you always in Chicago?” I ask, knowing this because I also teach history and the governor’s mansion has been in use since 1855.

“Yes, the governor’s mansion is in Springfield, and I do occupy it in a way, but I hate it there. It’s big and empty. I much prefer my apartment here in the city. Truth is since I met you I’ve been spending more time in Chicago than I have in Springfield,” he says, and his blue eyes blaze as he makes the admission. My chest turns warm and saliva pools in the back of my throat. Fuck! I am so turned on by him.

“Oh,” is the only word I can formulate right now.

He walks toward me at such a slow pace, and I feel like someone has pressed a slow-motion button. I take a large gulp as he closes the distance between us. He pushes a stray strand of hair off my face. “I’ve been thinking about kissing the hell out of you all day,” he says. My knees buckle, at least they feel like they do because the next thing I know his lips are on mine, hot and wanting. He kisses softly at first before his tongue begs entrance into my mouth. His taste is as intoxicating as I remembered. Our lips meshed together in a way that tells me, we fit. This is more than perfect. This kiss is everything.

With twists and turns and a a plot that you need to pay attention to, Mr all Wrong was no easy Sunday morning read. It wasn’t a boo to read whilst cosied up in your favourite arm chair with music softly playing in the back ground, you need to be invested. That’s how I felt when I read this story of lust and intrigue, with secrets from the past impacting the future of our characters and hidden connections revealed along the way.

It began with a pie to the face, finished with a dance at a fund raiser or so she thought. When Evie met the governor for the first time she hurled a cream pie in his face, she never expected to see him again, but luck along with a fund raiser for veterans was on her side. For Colton being the governor of Illinois was never his dream, he wanted to help people and attending ground breaking ceremony’s is boring, that is until he gets a cream pie in the face thanks to a beautiful protester.

A single mum with a hearing impairment Evie is not the kind of girl his father would want him dating but the beautiful woman and her lust for life is all that he can think about, pursuing her he falls in love against his fathers wishes. However time has a way of revealing secrets and some of those secrets have the ability to trash their budding romance. Prepare for this read with wine lots of wine, I cried, I sighed I squealed all within the pages of this book that was equal parts drama and hot sexy male 4 stars.

"Are we going to have another 'about last night' conversation?" I asked.
"If you want to."

What did I want to say? Everything. but mostly, I wanted to tell him how much I liked
kissing him and how conflicted I was. I wanted to demand answers immediately and
give him space at the same time.
All the words tried to jump forward, but when he stopped at a light, our eyes met in the
rearview. The words landed in a tangle, unsaid.
He tapped the steering wheel when he turned it, using both hands for the first time since
I'd gotten in.
"Hey," I said.
"Yeah?" He briefly looked at me in the mirror.
"What happened to your hand?"
"Burn." he brushed his left hand over the bandage at the top of his palm, right where
you'd burn it if you were picking up a hot pot handle. He caught my eye in the rearview
again.
I didn't know if I believed him.
"What were you cooking?"
"Breakfast."
"And you still went to get a Danish?"
He rubbed his upper lip with his left hand and tapped the wheel with the bandaged one.
"I burned my eggs."
Right. Hot pot. Burned hand. Smoke-filled kitchen.
"You know what's funny?" I said.
"The Three Stooges."
"I don't know anything about you. You could live in your mother's basement."
"That's just where I bury the bodies."
Blatant avoidance. It had been cute before; now it was getting on my nerves.
"Are you married?"
"No!"
He could have been lying, buy lying liars always lied. There wasn't a thing I could do
about that except make sure I asked.

Something was wrong. We'd kissed twice, and twice he'd shut down. I should have
been the one shutting down. I was the one with all the ex-boyfriend baggage. Why was I
the one who was always so willing?
But there he was in the front seat, driving with both hands on the wheel, glancing at me
once in a while to make sure I wasn't choking on my tongue in the back seat. Discomfort
radiated out of him.
Here I was with my hands in my lap thinking about ways to kiss him again.
He pulled into the little lot and wedged into a space. He turned off the car, popped his
seat belt, and stared at the wheel for a split second too long. I was about to open the
car door myself when he turned all the way around, arm over the back of his seat,
bandaged hand on the back of the passenger side.
"Kissing you..." He stopped and looked at my lips so intensely I folded them back and
bit them. "You're dangerous. I can't even see your lips, but I can taste them. I couldn't
brush the taste of you out of my mouth this morning. Right now. The honey. I can taste
it but not enough. I want to kiss you again, and I can't. I lose my shit around you. I can't
do it. My job is control. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
My jaw loosened, and I let my lips go.
"No, I don't. I've met bodyguards before. You're a stoic bunch, but you're not all celibate.
And if you think this is easy for me, you're wrong. I'm afraid too. I'm afraid you're going
to get hurt because of me. last night..." I put my fingertips to my lips as if that would
keep the choking sob from coming. I kept it back. "Last night he showed me he's back,
and if he'll hurt me, he'll hurt you."
If I thought seats would be a barrier between us, I was wrong. He launched himself
between them and placed his lips on mine. Our third kiss was unexpected,
uncomfortable with him stretched between front and back. I wove my fingers in his hair,
giving him my mouth, and taking his.
I wanted that kiss to tell him it was all right. He could lose control. He could bemore than
a protector. He was as safe with me as I was with him. But I couldn't without lying to
both of us.
He yanked his lips away.
"Trust me." He leaned his forehead against mine.

12 months ago I had never read a CD Reiss book, then I read Bombshell, then from Bombshell I read Shutter Girl, I was hooked and haven’t looked back since. When I saw Bodyguard the latest in the Hollywood A list book was releasing In November I had to read it and I was not disappointed. With a plot that was full of hot Alpha male, Chocked full of chemistry between the leads I just could not put the Bodyguard down and I honestly did not expect the twist.

Single Dad Carter protects celebrities from the crazies and his latest job is a doosey, protecting superstar Darlene from crazed fans, Only it isn’t really Darlene he ends up protecting. Choreographer Emily has been working with her best friend Darlene for years ever since her ex made her give up her own dreams of superstardom. When her Ex starts making problems for Emily, Darlene calls Carter in to protect her best friend and the sparks fly but with Carter keeping secrets and Emily being hesitant to trust the sexy protector can the attraction they both feel develop into something more. Fasten your seatbelts, get the wine and chocolate handy as this book will put you through an emotional gauntlet 4.5 stars this is the read for those that like an A list angst filled plot.

I’m at the steakhouse fifteen minutes early, which is on time in Chase Kelly’s book.  I’ve never been late for work or a date a single time in my life; in fact, I’ve always been early, which is a point of pride for me.  And Livia walks in at seven on the dot, something that endears me to her immensely, although the moment I register that I, Officer Kelly, am charmed, my mind goes blank.
Just blank.
There is nothing but her.
She walks in on heels that make her legs a mile long, her long hair down in a tumult of soft waves.  The maître d' helps her take off her checkered wool coat, and then I.
Am.
Speechless.
My heart hammers up in my throat as the blood pools deep in my groin.  She’s wearing a bright red dress—so fucking short that I’d be able to finger her easily if we were in a booth, which we tragically aren’t.  The red sets off the warm undertones of her bronze skin, highlights the deep brown of her eyes.  The lines of it hug the delectable curves of her tits, which are just small enough that she can get away without wearing a bra.
My cock thickens as she begins walking toward me, and I can verify that she is definitely not wearing a bra.  Oh God, what if she’s not wearing panties either?
I bite back a groan and push back my chair to greet her as she comes to our table, tugging the hem of my sweater down in one smooth move as I unfold myself to help disguise the effect her presence has on me.

In a split second, I change gears.  I can be patient when it comes to the Kelly Trio, and I find that the idea of wooing my nervous little librarian on date after date doesn’t sound tiresome at all...it sounds delightful, actually.  A challenge.  A test to see if I’m worthy enough to remove all traces of trepidation from her face and fill her expression with eagerness and surrender instead.
And get more time with this fierce, sweet bookworm all to myself.
I lean in to kiss her cheek, careful to angle our bodies so that I don’t press against her with six feet, two hundred pounds of hungry cop.  Instead, I anchor her with a firm hand at her elbow, pleased to feel the goose bumps that spread underneath my touch.  And then I brush my lips against her cheek, making sure she can feel them, making sure she gets just the tiniest brush of my scruff as I accidentally-on-purpose slide my jaw against hers as I pull away.
She shivers.
I look down into her eyes as I straighten up, and I’m suddenly aware that I’m supporting a lot of weight in my hand, as if her knees are weak from my kiss.
Well done, Officer Good Times!
Her eyes are wide, the pupils so blown and her irises so dark that her eyes are just huge liquid wells of want, and I feel a familiar tug in my groin knowing that I put that look there.
“I forget how big you are,” she murmurs, her head tilted up to look into my face.
I give her my biggest grin and open my mouth, but she cuts me off before I can say it, shaking her head.  “I know, I know.  I walked right into that one.”
But the ghost of a smile flits across her lips as I help her into her seat and push in her chair.
When I sit across from her and we start looking at our menus, I notice the smile has vanished and the nervous look is back, along with a determined set to her shoulders.  The combination of uneasiness and backbone intrigues and worries me at the same time.
“I don’t know what Megan told you,” I say, “but I don’t bite.”
She looks up from the menu, her teeth back to digging into the plump flesh of her bottom lip.
“Well,” I amend, staring at her mouth, “sometimes I do bite.  But only when I really, really want to.”

OMFG! I love this book, it was such a hot and sassy read that I just couldn't put it down. One of my fav Book boyfriends is the cop, the man putting his life on the line to protect others it just makes my heart go pitter patter.  Jaded by life Livia has just turned 29 and with no relationship on the horizon and realising that she wants children she decides to go it her own. Step 1 get pregnant step 2 be an amazing mum simple yes? Luckily she knows the perfect candidate to be her Sperm donor the Hot Cop who tracked her down at work.

The Kelly Trio Dinner, Drinks and handcuffs is what Chase is known for want some dirty good times all you need to do is call on officer feel good he always gets the job done. He never has to chase the women come to him that is until Sexy Librarian Livia doesn't.
