Jagger, oh Jagger, oh what a tangled web we weave. If you are new to the world of Piper Rayne you won’t have experienced Jagger’s gems of wisdom as we grew to know the trio of friends that was Jagger, Vance and Leo, think Barney in how I met your mother and you get a hint of the legend that is Jagger. I knew it would take an extraordinary woman to bring him to his knees but I never expected it to be a lost love. Jagger has intrigued me throughout the Dirty Truth trilogy but I never realised what a softie he truly was.

Now our daring duo the writers that are Piper Rayne, have kept us guessing on who would be his lady love the fiesta Victoria or spunky Sophie we met in the previous instalments were all front runners in my mind. I never dreamed it would be a woman from his past. Quinn’s heart was shattered by Jagger as a teenager when he cheated on her, so she formed the ultimate revenge (sssshhhh. I’m going to keep you guessing) but when her career brings her back into Jaggers sights she finds out that the truth is not always what it seems.

Funky characters a riveting plot and humour are all the reasons that I love Piper Raynes books. They have fast become a main stay on my TBR list responsible for at least a quarter of its length, and based on Chore Play she will be a main stay for much longer 5 stars for this fab read. If you enjoy fun and frolics a hot plot this is the book for you.

Juliette is a wedding planner running her uncles business. Times have been hard recently so she really needs to win over this next potential client. The groom is a governors son so this wedding could be Juliette chance to get her name up in lights planning the wedding of the decade. All is going well until she has a little run in with the brides brother and he’s not happy about it. 

Jake Kissinger or Dr Kiss as the ladies like to call him is gorgeous and he knows it. He’s not looking for love or a relationship to tie him down as he’s got a job waiting for him in New York. But when jake meets Juliette everything changes he can’t help but like her smart and cheeky nature and loves her passion for her work. Will Jules be the one to tame jake once and for all? 

This is the first work I have read from this author and it certainly won’t be the last. It was fast paced and I kept the pages turning at the storyline not wanting to wait and see what happened. The chapters were short which I like in a story and it was told from dual POV. I don’t want to give anymore away but the characters were loveable and likeable and I was definitely rooting for this to have a happy ending. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Love paranormal? love Christmas? Love a short story? Then this Jessie Lane and Chastity Bowlin novella is the perfect read for you. Telling the story of 2 shifters finding love at Christmas Purrfect Santa was a fab short to read! With a good mix between plot and characters the authors found the perfect balance for this novella, that left me wanting more.

I love a paranormal read, but I struggle to find ones that tick all my plot boxes especially with a shorter length novel. Too many seem to be sexy but without the characters and story line to back it up. Thankfully this was not the case with Purrfect Santa, set over only a few days this short had a back story, characters that I alternated with wanting to hug and say it will get better to screeching at just give it a go! A quick read that is the Purrfect introduction to 2 authors and there paranormal ways 4 stars!

You know it’s a good book when upon finishing you download the authors back catalogue, that’s what happened when I finished reading So Over You. I love a good sports romance and Hockey players are a favourite of mine to read. The big burly players that are like poetry on the ice moving around at break neck speeds. The third book in Kate Meader’s Chicago Rebels series following the trials and tribulations of a down on their luck Hockey team and their chase of Stanley, under new management the rebels are finally making head way both in the ranks and in love. So Over You is the story of Vadim the franchises new left winger and the Isobel the new owner of the team, but there’s is a story that started long ago when they were teens.

It’s funny how dreams change, for Isobel her dream was to be one of the first Pro women hockey players, and she fulfilled it for 37minutes. However her dream came crashing down around her leaving her injured and unable to play hockey professionally anymore she needed a new dream. Inheriting the Rebels with her sisters is just part of what it will take to accomplish her new goal Coaching in the Pro’s overcoming the prejudice and leading her team to victory, her first task to overcome her first lust the Russian Hockey god who left her wanting 8 years ago and bring him off the injury list.

Vadim has a secret, one that could hurt his reputation as the Csar of pleasure, he’s hung up on the women that almost wrecked his career 8 years ago, and now she has to help him get game ready. The close proximity, the early morning training its reigniting the spark he had almost extinguished. I loved this second chance romance, Vadim and Isobel’s story melted my heart and I needed to read more, that’s why So Over You is a five star read for me. I loved the back story of the 3 sisters overcoming their fathers death and the shadows he caused in their lives, their confidences and I can’t wait for the final sisters story.

“Isn’t the governor’s mansion in Springfield? Why are you always in Chicago?” I ask, knowing this because I also teach history and the governor’s mansion has been in use since 1855.

“Yes, the governor’s mansion is in Springfield, and I do occupy it in a way, but I hate it there. It’s big and empty. I much prefer my apartment here in the city. Truth is since I met you I’ve been spending more time in Chicago than I have in Springfield,” he says, and his blue eyes blaze as he makes the admission. My chest turns warm and saliva pools in the back of my throat. Fuck! I am so turned on by him.

“Oh,” is the only word I can formulate right now.

He walks toward me at such a slow pace, and I feel like someone has pressed a slow-motion button. I take a large gulp as he closes the distance between us. He pushes a stray strand of hair off my face. “I’ve been thinking about kissing the hell out of you all day,” he says. My knees buckle, at least they feel like they do because the next thing I know his lips are on mine, hot and wanting. He kisses softly at first before his tongue begs entrance into my mouth. His taste is as intoxicating as I remembered. Our lips meshed together in a way that tells me, we fit. This is more than perfect. This kiss is everything.

With twists and turns and a a plot that you need to pay attention to, Mr all Wrong was no easy Sunday morning read. It wasn’t a boo to read whilst cosied up in your favourite arm chair with music softly playing in the back ground, you need to be invested. That’s how I felt when I read this story of lust and intrigue, with secrets from the past impacting the future of our characters and hidden connections revealed along the way.

It began with a pie to the face, finished with a dance at a fund raiser or so she thought. When Evie met the governor for the first time she hurled a cream pie in his face, she never expected to see him again, but luck along with a fund raiser for veterans was on her side. For Colton being the governor of Illinois was never his dream, he wanted to help people and attending ground breaking ceremony’s is boring, that is until he gets a cream pie in the face thanks to a beautiful protester.

A single mum with a hearing impairment Evie is not the kind of girl his father would want him dating but the beautiful woman and her lust for life is all that he can think about, pursuing her he falls in love against his fathers wishes. However time has a way of revealing secrets and some of those secrets have the ability to trash their budding romance. Prepare for this read with wine lots of wine, I cried, I sighed I squealed all within the pages of this book that was equal parts drama and hot sexy male 4 stars.
