I need to admit something right now. The Silver Swan is f*cked. It might be the most insane story I've ever written with equally insane characters. Who knew? You know, when I started this book, it was supposed to be YA. I wanted to write a book that my sisters could read. A book that won't have people look at my mum like "damn... what sort of messed up shit happened to your kid?". The angst, the assholeness, the games, the f**kery, the WHAT THE F**KING F**K ARE YOU DOING???!!!...
I cannot even.... anyway, this is a warning (and the only one I'll give you). It's crazy. I don't compare my work to my others, but this book is f**ked. It will most likely stomp all the f**k over people's hard limits (and not give a sh*t while it's doing it) and will make you second guess all the morals you thought you had.
This most definitely is not looking like a love story right now... more like a..... I don't even....*shakes head* anyway, I apologise now. You asked for it..........

“Nate?” I whisper. “Maybe I took a wrong turn.”
Silence.
“Nate!” I yell down the phone. “This isn’t funny.”
“I’m not laughing, sis. Keep going, we can see your headlights.” What am I doing? I’m basically relying on the fact that Nate and I had bonded a little and that both our parents are together. I’m not sure those facts are worth my life. No, he wouldn’t. I’m just being paranoid. The only time, except for school, where I didn’t bring my fucking pistol either. I sag in defeat. My dad will not be impressed with my not carrying, and my mom will no doubt be screaming at me from the other side about how these are the reasons why she and my dad educated me so much on firearms. I’ve failed as a fucking daughter. I shuffle up in my seat.
“Nate, I don’t fucking see anything up here but ja—OMG!” I slam on the breaks, all four tires locking up in a skid. I squeeze the steering wheel tightly, banging down the locks on the doors. “Nate!” I yell into the phone.
Silence.
Slowly, I look up out the front windscreen, the thick dust from my tires interrupting the loose gravel still floating in the air and that’s when I see it again.
Ten men.
Ten dark hoodies covering their faces.
Ten—“Nate..” understanding sets in. Ten.
Slamming the gear into reverse, I’m just about to floor it backwards—to hell with anything or anyone behind me—when my driver’s window smashes into a million pieces, the tiny shards of glass falling onto my lap. I scream, my hands coming up to shield my face just as an arm slips inside and pops up the lock.

Silver Swan is the first book in the Elite Kings series by Amo Jones and it is hot, angst filled drama throughout. Telling the story of Madison the new girl in town and her introduction to the Elite Kings one of whom happens to be her Uber hot step brother Nate. However this isn't a nod to the latest fashion of step romance it's more complicated than that with Madi's love interest being the enigmatic Bishop Nates best friend. However I don't want to give away the plot all I will say is be prepared as you read to have your interest peeked by the Kings, but not quite satisfied as more will be revealed in each forthcoming novel.

For some reason I put off reading this latest Amo Jones book for 7 days (that's right 7days) that is not like me at all when it comes to the latest book in her catalogue. When I realised that I had had the book 7 days I wondered why I had loved the blurb so what had stopped me from cracking the book open and reading that initial chapter? The mind bending powers of the epic cliff hanger that's what! somehow I knew she would do it to me again! I can only say 5 stars for this epic page turner I completed in just over 1.5 hours once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. Get your snacks ready once you start this fab read you won't be leaving your reading chair! You may be a little disappointed to reach that cliffy as the realisation it's all over until the next instalment hits you.

They were full of passion, and it took everything in me not to ask her to return the favor, as I pictured her riding me in the front seat of the car. She certainly gets more than she bargained for when she locks eyes with Ramsey her hot young professor. Ramsey has worked his way up from T. A. To professor and can't wait to get stuck into teaching this year. Until a student literally falls into his classroom who has him questioning his morals as a teacher as he cannot stop thinking about Dora.

The story follows the pairs forbidden relationship and delves into Ramsey's dark desires of BDSM. The sex scenes are hot and steamy and we get to explore the world with Dora. Will the couple be able to keep their relationship a secret?

This was a quick read for me and I definitely kept the pages turning. Everything developed slightly too quickly for my liking but at the same time I enjoyed the read. If you are looking for a new steamy series. I'd recommend giving this a go but be warned, this book ends with a cliffhanger that will make you want to know more....

Cole laughs, but Whitney only becomes more agitated. I’m not sure why she’s giving me trouble. She’s the one who brought me here tonight.
“Tahl,” she sighs.

Lennon elbows me a few times. “The blood is about to spew,” she says and jumps up, screaming, “Go, black shorts!”

This 2nd book in the modern love series picks up almost exactly where the first one leaves off however this story is from the POV of Tahlia whom we have met briefly in the first story. I don't want to give any spoilers at all for this story as you just need to dive in and read for yourself but I will tell you this is just as good as the first from this secret author duo and I cannot wait to get stuck into the 3rd instalment when it's released. This story is fast paced and the writing is seamless and easy to read. The characters are laugh out loud funny and really relatable. I'm really hoping the next story is about Lennon because her character kills me 😂

If you haven't already picked up this series what are you waiting for!!!

This is the second book from the mysterious author duo Piper Rayne and just like the first I loved it! I am still searching through my TBR to try and figure out the authors 'real ' identities. If I love them this much as a pair you know I will love them as individuals right? The boxer is the latest instalment in The Modern Love series and is Thalia's story. Heartbroken from the discovery her ex cheated the entire length of their relationship Thalia sets out to change her dating style, no longer will she go for the Preppy Business mogul who are more interested in trying to please 'Daddy' (either hers or his own) than meet her needs. Luckily Thalia has best friends who think outside the box and put her in the path of Bad boy Luke Cummings, but Badboys aren't always what they seem. Humour takes the lead in this Fun and flirty read, a 5 star read for me. Just like The Bartender I was drawn into the book and hated to hit that last page. I am so excited for Lennon's story and can't wait to read it.

This book picked up straight where we left off in the previous instalment of this duology. We get straight into the action of Greg taking Elle hostage. We are kept at knife edge throughout the book and readily anticipating the next twist or turn. I thoroughly enjoyed yet another read by Pepper Winters. 

When Elle returns home from a Charity Gala, she is met by her child hood friend and work colleague. However, unbeknownst to her, his intentions are not good. We follow the story of Elle, Greg and 'him'. You will finally have your mind put at rest and find out who 'he' is. Nameless, or Baseball Cap? Get reading to find out! 

I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the first one. With a different type of story compared to her usual works, Pepper still creates flawless plot lines and characters. I definitely recommend her as a one-click author!

Quick, Easy and fun with a touch of angst to draw the reader in that is what I have come to expect when reading Jami Davenport and Game Changer is no different. The 7th book in the Seattle steelheads football series I was already familiar with the lead character and wondered how his story would develop. Hunter a Tight End for the Steelheads ticks more than 1 box in the Romance genre hero checklist, This hot and hunky football player has a softer side too that's brought out by his sister and his love of animals. Our heroine Kate is a tough nut to crack determined to meet the conditions of her grandfathers will she has no time for love even for the hottie that owns the race horse she wants to buy. The sparks fly between this pair as they learn that hate is often the other side of the coin to love. Quite simply put this book gave me feels and to top it off it's 2 for the price of one as you read about Hunters sister Lilli and his team mate Cam fall in love alongside him and Kate. 5 stars.

Based on the classic tale of "The little mermaid" this modern day fairytale tells the story of Laire an eighteen year old island girl who wants a lot more from life that to marry an island boy and have babies and be stuck forever. Laire has dreams to be a fashion designer and to live far away from the old fashioned island life she feels trapped in. Whilst making a delivery of fish for her fisherman father, she catches the eye of outsider Erik and he will do anything to get the beautiful 'little mermaid' to go on a date with him. The story follows the whirlwind 6 week romance of the pair but being from totally different worlds will they ever be able to make things work and have each other's worlds accept them?

This was the first book I've read written by this author but I throughly enjoyed it and want more. I loved Laire's character and felt for her in her naivety coming from a very sheltered upbringing to suddenly be thrust into the real world when she meets a really cute guy. Erik was handsome and attractive but also so sweet with Laire and I really backed the couple all the way through this story even when life tries to keep them apart.

If you love fairytales and retellings I'd definitely give this book a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.
