Grabbing the pot of freshly brewed coffee from the coffee maker, he stares into the pot then drinks
from it. I don’t bother to tell him it’s decaf. Throat working as he swallows, he holds up his index

finger.

I’ve got a finger for him, the middle one.

“I don’t know what’s gotten into you but I’ve had enough.” He continues drinking. “And word of
caution, if you come back to New York and continue to treat me like I’m cattle, a possession, you will

damage this friendship beyond repair.”

He places the pot down, his eyes downcast as he leans on the counter for support. “I’m sorry…I was

a real asshole last night and––”

“Last night?!” I shout. “How about for the past week.”

“Well you’re not helpin’ the situation!” he shouts back, his eyes sparking, then winces again.
My jaw hangs in disbelief. He can’t be serious. Is he really blaming me?

“The hell are you talking about? You’re blaming me? Me?! You’ve been unbearable––when you’ve
been around, that is. Usually you’re running in the opposite direction. But somehow in your twisted

little male peanut sized brain, it’s my fault?!”

“Yes, goddamit! Dancin’––smilin’ at that fucking cowboy!” His hand slashes through the air as if he’s
indicating to someone in the corner. The veins near his temple pop up. Eyes impossibly wide, he
advances on me, stopping a mere foot away. “You never smile at me like that!”

Huh? “What does that have to do with anything?!”

“Because I’m jealous! Okay! And you’ve made it very clear you’re not attracted to me but all I can

think about is this!”

He’s on me before I can blink, arms crushing me to him, kissing me like I hold the last breath of air

on the planet and he means to steal it.

A beat later he stops. His lips against mine he murmurs, “Kiss me back…please kiss me back.”

I love love loved! reading Baby Maker by P Dangelico, for me the book just worked, I found myself turning the pages quickly immersed in the plot until it was suddenly finished and I did not know where the pages had gone 5 stars. With sparks flying between the lead characters from their very first meeting the chemistry between the 2 was off the charts I loved the spunky nature of Stella and the laid back nature of
Cal.

With her biological clock ticking and no chance for love in sight Stella makes a choice to have a baby by herself she doesn’t need a man to be happy but she does need to be a mother.so with all this in mind she goes on the hunt for the perfect candidate to be her baby daddy but when her ideal man for the job is taken and suggests his best friend that’s when the story really begins.

Cal has no need for a woman in his life long term but he would like to be a daddy when his best friend asks him to speak to Stella and potentially become her baby daddy no string attached it’s the perfect solution to his baby dilemma, sit back and read this pairs story’s the drama unfolds. Great characters, great plot the perfect read.

The reverse Harem genre is here! Recently I have seen a lot of books that are labelled reverse harem, gone are the days of the ménage it’s now full on Harem all the way. Lucifers Daughter: Queen of the Damned by Kel Carpenter is the latest book in this Newley emerging genre that I have read and whilst enjoyable I struggled with the book not finding the plot an easy read.

The story centres around Ruby Morningstar a demon hybrid left alone in the world having been abandoned by her mother at an orphanage as a child. Hidden in the human world by her mother to protect her she has made her way and found friends with others in the local paranormal community like Moria her Banshee business partner, however growing up as a demon Hybrid she has little control over her powers or does she.......

When her temper gets the better of her and she winds up in jail Ruby meets the first of her Harem Alister, What follows is an introduction to the men that will become her Harem and her fighting the attraction to the quad of Demonic beau’s. Rysten, Alister, Laran and Julian swore to protect Ruby when she was born knowing that she would become theirs once she was older, however with Ruby hidden a little too well they lost track of her, that is until her father Lucifer dies.

I loved the blurb for Lucifers Daughter: Queen of the Damned, and the story had it all, drama, action with a paranormal twist, revenge and a healthy dose of lust, overall I enjoyed reading this latest foray into the multiple partner genre however in places reading the book felt like a hardship I wasn’t transported into the world the authors words created easily so for me this was a 3.5 star read.

The Baby Maker is the latest book in Lili Valente’s catalogue of novels and boy does it stand up against the rest. Plots full of fun and frolics with a dash of steamy and sexy this authors signature writing style has fast added her to my TBR. Reading the blurb for The Baby Maker and I just knew I would love it with lines like is the story of ‘the men in our family? We’re Baby makers’ and ‘don't bang a Hunter man unless you want a bun in your oven.’ I just couldn’t wait to read more.

I wondered what avenue the author would take with the hero and heroine, and never expected a hate to friends to love story but that’s what I got with Dylan and Emma. With tensions high between Dylan and Emma as they compete over land, Dylan never expected that the answers to his land issues may just be a Baby. All he needs to do knock Emma up and she will disappear out of his life. The problem once they spend time together they realise love and hate are 2 sides of the same coin. The Baby Maker was a fab read full of fun and filled with flirty characters, the perfect mix of sexy and sweet, so much so that I look forward to reading more from the brothers Hunter.

I can’t even today, having finished Devils Match, my head it’s whirling, I’ll be honest this isn’t my favourite book from the authors catalogue. The book owning that title is still fighting to come out on top between Hellraiser , 136 Scars and Raising Grace parts 1 and 2 I’ll let you know which it is as soon as I do. If like other readers of Amo Jones’ Devils own series, you have been wondering about the kind of girl that could tame the MC’s resident psychopath let me tell you, you would have never expected the truth about Ella.

I’m trying to give no spoilers but this isn’t a book that you read as a stand alone. There is that much plot going on your head will spin, if you go into the book blind, my head did and I have read the books from the start. With plot twists, flashbacks and new characters introduced the Devils Match will have you shouting pax as you try to read between the lines. Guess the real relationships between the characters this author for me is the queen of the secret connection.

So about the characters Frost ‘the psychopath’ our lead he gets off on blood and isn’t afraid to go to the wall. Gird your loins girls because Frost is coming. Dark and alpha he’s been a staple in the Devils own world, the man who could not be tamed until Ella. Ella the secret sister of Raze and Beast is ‘the enigma’ portrayed as sweet and innocent her facade hides a dark truth that makes her the match for frost. With fight skills thanks to years of MMA and hidden depths her darkness is so well hidden that you don’t realise just how well she matches Frost until the very end. As always I have enjoyed reading The Devils Own, another 5 star read.

During the first chapter we meet Elara. She is grieving terribly from the death of her best friend and the only thought that keeps running through her mind is ‘its all my fault’. The only distraction on the day of the funeral was the deep, dark eyes of Kamden’s older brother Kane. Elara has never had much to do with Kane during her friendship with Kam so when he befriends her and tries to get to know her she puts up her wall. During the next week Kane invites Elara on his work trip to Italy knowing that she has always wanted to go. Will sparks fly on their trip of a lifetime or will Elara never be able to let go of the secret love she had for her best friend?

This isn’t my first read from this author and it certainly wont be the last, she is definitely on of my one-click authors without me even reading the blurb. This was a great new adult read and we really go to know the characters of Elara and Kane but also Kamden from flash backs that Elara has of their long friendship before the accident that changed everything. I really felt for Elara as she was not only trying to grieve but deal with the guilt of feeling Kam’s death was her fault. I also fell for Kane a little too hard, I’ve always had a thing for the brooding, dark, handsome type! I don’t want to give away anymore so you had better go and read this for yourself. I can guarantee you wont be disappointed.

Only an inch separated our mouths, but the cool air that replaced her warm lips had me going back

The final instalment? Scoring Mr Romeo is the latest book written by A.M. Madden and Joanne Schwehm the books written as stand alone follow lives of 3 Batchelor friends as they find love. Scoring Mr Romeo is Luca’s story the sexy Italian who was the ‘sensible’ friend in the previous books. With his smouldering good looks and sexy accent Luca is the dark horse of the 3 friends, his stoic exterior hiding the fun character we only see glimpses of in the previous books.

I wondered who would be the lady to bring him to his knees! In Taming Mr Flirt and Finding Mr Wrong there seemed to be a real connection between Cassie and Luca but it wasn’t to be. The writers brought in 2 new characters Sabrina a sexy single mom and the cutest little kid Mikey to tame Luca’s heart. Sabrina and Luca’s attraction is of the charts and things move quickly between them.

Although I enjoyed Scoring Mr Romeo I didn’t enjoy it as much as the 2 previous books the authors co-wrote. The books are insta love and well written but for me with Sabrina being a single mom the insta love seemed to move a little too quickly with Luca, Sabrina and Mikey spending time together as a couple and kid awfully soon. There seemed to be no hesitation on Sabrina’s part to keep Mikey and Luca separate for a little while, but then this insta relationship between our 3 main characters worked for the plot. Overall enjoyable and as always I will look for more books by the authors 4 stars.
