From the first read of Julia Kent's Shopping for a billionaire series, I was in love with her writing and this latest instalment is no different. Shopping for an Heir - The Inheritance, sits outside of the normal shopping series, as our leading characters are not part of Declan or Shannon's family. However, our heir, Gerald, is the security/ chauffeur for Anterdec, so we do have a familiar cast of characters.
I love reading a book with connections from old books to new, as you learn the characters and the world in which they reside. Gerald is an enigma; a strong alpha in a subservient position to the Anterdec males, with a soft and artistic side. Whilst on tour in Afghanistan during his military days, he 'rescued' a precious artefact. With the death of the artefacts billionaire owner, Gerald finds himself the heir to the artefact and must once again protect it from those who would damage it. However, this lucky windfall brings him into contact with a lost love, Suzanne, an alpha in her own right. Queue funny scenarios, laughter and hot scenes and you know you are onto a winner.
Throughout the Shopping series, I have fallen in love with Julia Kent's writing. The laughter, the lust and the entertainment is evident throughout the series and this latest book carries on a fantastic trend. I can't wait to read more and look forward to the next book, chock full of fun characters and storylines.
