In Mr Right-Now we meet Maggie who has just had to move back in with her parents after her new bakery was forced to close down due to new competition. She moves back into her childhood bedroom still decorated with her fave boyband posters. During a slightly embarrassing situation with an old high school friend she manages to fall face first into one of her ‘adult’ cake creations only to have it witnessed by none other than the front man of said fave boyband Category 5, Drew Delaney who also happens to be back in town…oh and didn't I mention Drew is Maggie’s ex best friends brother. Cue hilarious antics and LOL moments as we follow Maggie and Drew as they rekindle their friendship and see if it will turn into anything more.
This is the first book I have read by this author but it certainly won't be my last. I loved her writing style, it was so easy to fall into and turn the pages. The characters were lovable and I was really rooting for them throughout. There were definitely some moments where I physically laughed out loud for a could 5 mins till tears were rolling and also shed some happy tears later on in the story as well. I will certainly be getting some more works from this author and really hope that we get a little spin off on McKenna’s story, Drew’s sister, as she seemed like a great character and I'd love to know if her business gets off the ground.
