 In general I love a sports romance, there's something about an athletes that makes my motor run. I don't know whether it's about the physically fit or tactical mind but damn they are hot! I hadn't read an M.E Carter before so wasn't sure what to expect.  Telling the story of Sports mad producer Tiffany and the latest soccer sensation Rowan this was a sports romance with a difference. It's normally the guy that's a player sleeping with anyone and everyone but in this adaptation it was the girl.

For Tiffany loving sports becoming a sports producer was the natural thing to do and being involved in the sporting world and knowing the players it was natural that she went to the parties. Liking sex and not being shy she slipped into the groupie world without realising it, but with Rowan she wants to leave the Groupie life behind. Growing up in your fathers shadow can be hard, but for Rowan the image of his footballing father being constantly compared took it's toll. An upcoming Rookie in the Mutiny squad he wants to prove he's there on his own worth and not because of his fathers connections.  When he meets gorgeous Tiffany at a bar the sparks fly but how will he react when he here's she's a team groupie?

This was a hard book for me to read, in fact at 5% I was ready to give up however I didn't. I read past Tiffany having sex with 3 different people (well kindoff one of the 3 one was more of  a voyeur than an active participant) and none of them was Rowan. I could see where the author wanted to go with the story about Tiffany being a powerful woman secure in her sexuality but for me it didn't come across this way it felt like she was letting the players use her. These men, her so called friends just used her as a sex object, it wasn't until she started to spend time with Roman that she seemed to be respected.

However I persevered, moving past those first 3 chapters and I began to see Tiffany for the person she actually was. True when she came face to face with the wives of some of the players that she had knowing that they were married slept with I did a mini fist pump at the awkwardness she felt. Overall this was a 4 star read for me it was hot where it needed to be and despite my initial reservations about Tiffany I came to love her character.
