Another 5 star read for me from R.C. Boldt from having first stumbled across her 'teach me' series I have not looked back when it comes to this authors writing. Each book has engaged me from the start, drawing me into stories that pulled on my heartstrings. The latest in her 'Out of' series this is Hendy's story. Captured and tortured whilst on tour he's MIA and later pronounced dead, only to rise from the ashes a wounded man but with friends like Fos, Kane and the rest of the gang there's no way he will stay that way for too long. For me these stories are about more than just the 2 main characters its about the wider circle of friends that make up the cast of characters and I'm always left wanting more.
Oh the feels, this book had me in tears both happy and sad as I read Hendy's story, a true wounded warriors tale. Scared and injured with an unhealthy amount of survivors guilt, Hendy doesn't believe he has a right to happiness or a paint free life. Luckily for him his friends aren't willing to give up on him just quite yet. When Fos and Kane's plan to tackle the physical pain he's feeling put him in the path of Presley the sparks fly and the attraction is out of this world. However with Presley engaged nothing can come of their attraction can it? Read this wounded warriors take and find out.
