The blurb is why I wanted to read Poppy the first book in the forces of Nature fairytale mini series. I loved the idea powerful scion of an elite family must wed from one family to produce the next generation. Overall I give Poppy 3stars overall it was short and hot exactly what the author tells you at the very beginning. This is an insta love romance that took me a lunch break to read it's fast paced everything happens over just a few days timeline, it's a perfect quickie read.
Poppy left me confused at some points, feeling I was reading a regency romance rather than a book set in a modern era. Don't get me wrong I love the formality of a regency romance a sheltered young miss and a dashing rake are some of my favourite reads but I didn't enjoy this character style in Poppy it clashed not complimented the era the books were set in. The book is hot and flirty with the emphasis around Poppy and Storm's interactions it has to be because of the short length which really works well.Hattie 🐝
