Omg I love this book funny and funky this is the second book in Lili Valante awesome Hockey romance series Bad Motherpuckers. I fell in love with the first book and the crafty crocheting alpha that was Justin Cruise, I wondered how he could be topped but it was easy. All it required was one cute little girl in need of Motherly influence her Hot hockey player single dad who wants to provide his red headed princess with everything she needs. This is the captains of the NHL Badgers team story Brendan Davies and how he lost his heart to another red head.
One night, one bonfire and one 'tainted' underwear pyre set this romance in motion but at the same time it was halted by Brendan's single dad status. Years of friendship was at stake alongside a little girls heart, Not knowing whether Laura was ready to take on motherhood he had to stop before it went further than one night or at least that's what he told himself. Laura has had it with men; feeling sorry for herself she decides to start anew by burning the remnants of the past. She never expected a fire to change things between her and Brendan but it did.
With their relationship halted at a ONS, friendship is all this couple can have, that is at least until Brendans in laws get involved. With concerns raised over their granddaughter and her lack of mothering Brendan asks Laura for help asking her to be his fake girlfriend. With close confines meaning both Laura and Brendan have to face their feelings and realise that they can have more then a friendship. This book had me in stitches with the antics of. Curious dog and inappropriate exes this was a 5 star read for me.
