Not that I knew that before I got a little overly friendly with my new stepsister. I mean, what are the odds? It shouldn't have been possible.
But it happened. It figures the one girl I can't get out of my head is the one girl who doesn't want to be with me. At least in my head she's the only girl who doesn't want to be with me, because I tend to be arrogant like that. The point is, now she's everywhere I turn, yet she's marking a line in the sand that she thinks I really won't cross.

This book is everything that I have come to expect from a Cm Owens novel fun, amusing and a constant page turner. Honestly I couldn't put the book down causing my family to be oh so unamused that the dog wasn't walked and food wasn't cooked. This is a story about 2 players meeting their matches in each other and learning that relationships aren't all that bad. The only problem for this pair they 2 are step siblings all though they didn't know it until it was too late. Taming a Maverick should not be read as a standalone it can be but it shouldn't, however if you read as a stand alone be prepared once you finish reading you will be book binging the back catalogue.
Mavericks story could never be an easy one, the player, the heartthrob the prankster that doubled as the comedic relief of the Sterling Shore his fall is an epic crazy adventure that can only be explained by the phrase it's Mav. So let's go to the enigma the holder of the 'magic vag' the vag that could tame the Mav. A player in her own right she was schooled in men by her mother, she knows when to hunt and when to be prey to the players of the world. All she wants is one night of fun before she begins her knew life in Sterling Shore where she's moved so that she can be there for her little brother. New in town she's on the prowl for a ONS when she meets Mav but knowing a player when she sees one she knows the only way to hunt a player is to be the prey.
It's always hard for me reviewing an author who I love, social media stalk, wait with baited breath for the next release. It's hard not to come over as gushy or OTT when you love a book, and you wonder whether its proximity that gives you the feels when you read. But Taming a Maverick is a perfect example of the the reason why I love this author, I was engaged either the story from the off unable to stop reading despite the things going on around me.
